SUPPORT GROUP MEETING
EVERYONE WELCOME!
Individuals suffering from fibromyalgia can participate in support groups to provide mutual support to one another and to obtain information on fibromyalgia syndrome. Members of these groups are individuals who are seeking an understanding of fibromyalgia. Some may be severe cases, people who have lost their jobs, their friends, and their activities because of their harsh symptoms. These groups offer more than just shared misery, sufferers may find emotional relief in socializing with others who understand without having to be told. They learn what treatments are offered in their area and gain knowledge of ways and means that may help ease their pain. The Fibromyalgia support groups welcome family and friends so they may also acquire an understanding of your illness and learn of possible ways to make everyday life easier. Information is the key to managing fibromyalgia. Support groups play a key factor in providing beneficial information to their members. The best reason to join a support group is to get some action on fibromyalgia. We want action from the medical profession, in the insurance field, from the pharmaceutical companies and most of all in research. Getting the attention of these busy individuals is a difficult process. When they take the time out of their busy schedules to make a presentation to your support group, this is the groups opportunity to prove that there is a need to find answers for fibromyalgia sufferers. We can provide them with visual statistics, the more people in attendance the greater the need. So make attending meetings a priority and support your FM support group!
